What we believe

God

The Eternal God, who created and sustains the universe, has revealed himself as three co-equal persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, God’s eternal Son, was born of the virgin Mary. He was truly divine and truly human, but did not sin. By dying on the cross, he redeemed us from sin and Satan’s power and made us right with God.

The Lord Jesus was bodily raised from the dead and ascended into Heaven. He will return in glory, raise the dead and judge the world. The redeemed will be welcomed into a life of eternal joy in fellowship with God. God will make all things new and will be glorified forever.

Salvation

The justification of sinners is only by the grace of God through faith in Christ.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit leads us to repent, unites us with Christ, equips us with spiritual gifts and empowers our discipleship and witness.

Creation

God made man and woman in his own image to love, be holy and care for creation. Through Adam’s sin, human nature fell and became incapable of righteousness in God’s sight.

The Bible

The Holy Bible is God’s divinely inspired Word. Given for our guidance and spiritual knowledge, it is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

Baptism and Communion

The Lord Jesus commanded those who confess His name to be baptised and to remember him in Communion.

Marriage

Marriage is a life-long union of one man and one woman ordained by God at creation and is a representation of Christ’s relationship to the Church. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God and is to be enjoyed exclusively within the context of marriage.

Marriage is, by definition, heterosexual and between one man and one woman. Marriage ultimately serves as a reflection of the union between Christ and His Church.
